Delirium began when I found a photograph in a magazine of a very young girl, maybe thirteen or fourteen, who was much pierced, and was wearing ripped, tatty, very strangely sexy clothes. Everything was wrong about that picture, and the girl looked very angry. That was my visual model for Delirium.

There's also the brilliant Tanaqui C. Weaver
...
Kathy Acker was also a component
...
Bits of Tori went into Delirium too
...
Of course, there's also a lot of Jill Thompson in Delirium
...
But the real truth is, Delirium is me. Just me shutting up and listening. And that's what I liked best about her.
