as a kid i was mouthy. i had a mouth on me. i mouthed off, mouthily (adverb). i rarely used mouthwash but i did play what my grandmother called a mouth organ (aka harmonica, harp, harpoon) for a short while, till someone stole it. tough times in my affluent suburb, even then.
the mouth of the river, of the stream, of the ocean, of the world. the wound that does not heal.
