Hurricane Ivan has entered the Gulf of Mexico. Maximum sustained winds this morning are 155 mph. Ivan continues to fluctuate in intensity and strength between a Category Four and a Category Five Hurricane. All residents along the northern Gulf Coast between Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle should be keeping informed about the progress of Ivan and making appropriate preparations.
