In many ways, as a specie, humanity still thinks it is the only creative one, though this arrogance is slowly being transformed as we use that creativity to understand, or maybe rediscover the 'interconnectedness' of life on this planet
Creativity is a characteristic we share with other animal species. Although for many ages we thought we alone of all God's creatures were capable of creative impulse, nature photographers have proven that animals as diverse as ravens and chimpanzees can and do exhibit creative problem solving.
I had a teacher of creative writing once who told our class: »You must look at things not only as if you were seeing them for the first time but as if you were seeing them for the last time, as if you were never to see them again and had to take them all in and remember them forever.«
