my granny used to read me bible stories when i was 3 or 4. i loved the ones about battles and tumbling walls and angels with trumpets and daniel in the lion's den (not to be confused with denial in the lion's den, tho that might work too!).

i'm told that when i was very small and my father would carry me upstairs to bed at night i would yell »shadrach, meshach, to bed we gowhich is actually pretty witty if you know how the real story goes.

It may be that God wrote the Bible. It's all those intervening editors that worry me.

The Bible is the most sold book in the world. And I think it is also one many people have read, although they do not tell it.

The Bible tells stories about God and Jesus. Of course these stories are not true, but they have a message to bring across. Mostly they want to show, that human beings will get help when they need it. So I think the Bible is a rather good book, with an important background even for people like me, who do not believe in the Christian God.

In the American south, they call it the 'babble' or the 'bobble.'

I think they're on to something.
