'Home is where the heart is'. Trouble is, no-one else here seems to feel this.
I often leave home early in the morning, and roam about fields and lanes all day.
Now, all the time I had been on my visit, I had been ungrateful to my home again, and had thought little or nothing about it. But I was no sooner turned towards it, than my reproachful young conscience seemed to point that way with a ready finger; and I felt, all the more for the sinking of my spirits, that it was my nest, and that my mother was my comforter and friend.
Back home again in Indiana,

The gleaming candlelight still shining bright
Through the sycamores for me.
The new-mown hay sends all its fragrance
from the fields I used to roam.
When I dream about the moonlight on the Wabash,
then I long for my Indiana home.
Home is the place where, when you go there, they have to take you in.
It seemed I never had one. The earth beneath my feet whispered about secrets of which I could barely dream. So I wandered, and found my home among the fields and valleys, streams and wooded glens.
A breath of air from a distant locale is the most addicting substance I have ever encountered.
